    Big Ben's is dead thank god. Service always sucked ass and it was always a douchebag convention, so I did my best to stay away from there. Haven't been to Docs or Scout in at a minimum of six years.

    yeah, i think doc's closed down. we used to go for the .50 cent well and easily 4 years ago.

    that's how we felt about big ben. music was bad, and way too loud, and yes. if you weren't in ed hardy or affliction or a popped collar, you were definitely out of the "cool kids" circle. we didn't even finish our bucket of beer before we left.

    I remember when Docs opened up. My girl was one of the original bartenders there. Showing my age right there lol.

    So we went to Sherlocks last night... Place was DEAD. Surprised me too, but I don't go there often anymore so what do I know. Just thought it would be a lot busier.

    i've only been to sherlocks once, way back, and it was for karaoke. it's also one of the few smoke free places, or was, back in the day. when i was home we went to a place called cabo. it was garbage.

    it had a lot of white trash gangster wanna bes the night i went. the girls we brought were the only ones worth anything. the 5 or so others we nasty cougars - you know the kind. ridden hard and put up wet by the hell's angels.

    It's still smoke free - when Houston banned smoking in bars and restaurants I was ecstatic. I LOATHED coming home reeking of smoke. Clothes would instantly go into the washing machine. I would get back into my car the next day and it would still smell of cigarette smoke.

    Cabo's is still there. Been twice in the past two months. Same douchy crowd with the occasional G-Unit. Not impressed, but my single friends like going there so I go along to act as the voice of reason... Or to throw them under a bus if I'm feeling particularly ornery.

    yeah i hate that smoke smell. i'll puff a cigar every now and then, but the cigarettes killed me. i haven't been around enough to find anywhere else.

    :confused: I went 3 weeks ago, it was fucking miserable. Actually come to think about it, I might have been in the back room without a roof, I was pretty intoxicated so my memory is vague.
