Kind of annoying that $1800 shocks can do that.

Made quick work of it. Guess I gotta rinse a little harder up there after the beach.

    image.jpg

Also, @ChadsPride, I got the fender liners installed this morning - holy crap what a difference! Thanks for the inspiration!

    image.jpg

Thicker than a Snicker, one solid piece, way better coverage, better mounting hardware, made in the USA, and they smell pretty damn good too!

No way I'll tear one of these.

I was really surprised to see that. I'm not really sure yet exactly how it started rusting back there. The mount and the resi are aluminum. It came off pretty easy but there was some pitting on the resi. My best guess is it's the iron in the sand and dirt that rusted from the salt at the beach.

I ended up getting the rest of the day off so I'll go ahead and get some clear coat on them. I'll also use this-

    image.jpg

To help with any rust I may miss.

Dang, might wanna check sooner than later. I don't go anywhere near the water. If there's no one in the way, I'll drive right up against the dunes - I've seen that rusted frames recall thread and it's unreal.

Yeah.. im definitely concerned now.. will check later tonight if I get some time.. Probably wasn't the best idea driving near the water.. but the ol 4 popper was struggling in the loose sand. Hell of a good time regardless though!
