Used some Meguires heavy cut polish recommended by the guy at vatozone on the truck during some down time today. Got rid of the small stuff, swirls, and a few pin stripes. Truck looks damn good and I can say I highly recommend the stuff so long as you're not trying to buff out gouges and bullet holes.

I can't take hardly any credit, Chris (@Texoma) did all the welding and hard work. I wasn't feeling confident enough in my welding to even attempt it for something as critical as suspension. We both cut off the old stuff and cleaned up the frame and we both conspired for the location of the shock towers and lower shock mounts.

It was surprisingly easy to figure out. I was expecting a lot of

but it all came together pretty seamlessly.

Lemme know if you have any questions, always happy to help!

Not sure, you only miss the back weld. Some say it’s not needed. If I do I will just strap the bed and raise it straight up with overhead hoist, not going to man handle it.

It wasn't too bad to do and it made things a lot easier to work around. It only adds like 15 minutes to remove and 15 to put back on so I'd suggest going for it. It would be super easy to do with the hoist.

Not sure if the third gens are the same as the second gens in this regard but there is a rivet on top of the frame, forward of the axle that literally gives you the best place to mount the shock towers. If you put the tower directly against it, toward the cab, you get an 11* angle on the shock. For ride comfort, 10* is ideal.
