I’m curious if there are any wider spacers available. I would also use some fat washers on the floor as well. Just for peace of mind.

Any reason is a good reason!

    Hmmmm
I could regear now, but I wouldn’t be able to add a front locker if I do.

Yea and I’ve been getting by pretty decently without it. There’s been a handful of times it would have been nice to have but I think it can wait for a bit.

Morning Maner, how’s things up north? You guys have any blizzards yet?

If anyone wants a URD Short Throw Shifter, I'll be selling mine soon. I need a Hurst to fit all the sticks with the crawl box. I think they're $150 new, I'd like $100 for it to go towards the Hurst.

FWIW, I don't think the Hurst is absolutely necessary. It gives you options because you can more easily unbolt the shifter from the base and move things around, or even add spacers the shift things left or right, but you could probably pull it off with the urd...just might require more heating and bending of the stock shifter.

But then theres also that chrome...

I had been contemplating notching the shifter, bending it, and welding it. The appeal of the Hurst is that it's basically one and done.

    and chrome.
    and Hurst T-Handle

I am not trying to talk you out of the hurst...I do think it's easier. Just throwing out options. My attitude with the crawl box was to spend the money and do it right. My lack of fabrication skills to be able to cut and weld led me to options that are more on the plug and play side. Things are functioning right now but I have some work to make it pretty and come up exactly where I want.

I didn't think you were, but I do think it'll be a whole helluva lot easier than trying to get my shifter just right. I figured I could sell what I have in like-new/gently-used/doesn't-really-matter-anyway condition and put a few bucks towards the Hurst, or I can take a gamble and maybe get everything perfect. I'm taking the sure-thing/lazy way out lol

I really just don't want to spend an afternoon taking the shifter in and out of the truck hoping I can get exactly the angle I want.
