Yeah they are pricy.. i probably will end up keeping what ive got, a roof rack could be in the near future though, i need somewhere to put my solar panel. Also think im gonna go with a single deep cycle battery and see if it can keep up with the fridge.
No sir not yet, still waiting on parts to arrive at Triple C. Getting excited though..:goingcrazy:

That’s awesome, I think I’ll order it all today. The headlights have been seeming pretty crappy lately, good timing.

That’s what I do, put it on for trips and camping. I wouldn’t sell it, they store fairly easily and it’s really nice having a wind/rain proof cover you can get in and out of pretty easily. Wouldn’t it be hard finding another in the same color?

Fuck, I want to regear. 16 is a good day for me. I’m in the 13’s right now. But, I felt something weird the other day and now that I’m thinking about this, can you two try It and let me know if you do too? I was moderately accelerating and shifted late because I was adjusting the AC, when I hit the AC button somewhere around 3500-4000 RPM’s I felt a noticeable load on the engine. Tried it again by turning the AC off and the truck surged. I know it uses engine power and adds a load when engaged but it was surprisingly substantial. And that bearing was making a pretty nasty noise for a while. It mysteriously stopped with the noise.

They look cool but they seem impossible to get a decent weather seal.

yes it'd be next to impossible.. i painted this one bc it was white when i got it.. Couldnt find a green one. I am gonna hold onto it i think

Yeah the 13s is no bueno.. I can absolutely feel a big difference in acceleration with the AC not on, but my truck is a 4 cylinder. I can notice it a little in the v6 as well though. ACs are power eaters!

Good call, you’ve already got it, it’s the right color, just hang it from the ceiling and forget about it until you want it. Them camping van mode ftmfw

I knew they were but damn! Feeling the load come on and drop off like that was impressive.

:rofl::rofl: That Picard meme is awesome

    That’s a decent step up
This whole time I was thinking about gears I forgot the truck has 3.73’s and not 4.10’s. If yours were 4.30’s I’d buy them from you.

Yeah should make things feel alittle torquier, speedo will probably be off alot more though lol. May have to buy a hypertech

If you're gonna run big tires, id go with 4.56 or 4.88s with the v6, but i do like a truck that is slightly overgeared. The torque down low is what i am after! with a crawlbox like you're getting though, you should be able to compromise more for better hwy behavior so 4.56 may be the way to go.

I don’t know much either only learned about the different rear sizes after searching gear setups.
I’m really happy with 4.56 I can tell a substantial difference in 4L with applied power from the 3.73s.
With a crawl box I can’t even fathom that.
Also the speedometer shouldn’t be off with the gear sizing it’s the tires that effect going from stock gearing to current was still off 5-6mph with skinnies the new tires made it 7mph off.

I got caught up in the 4.56vs4.30 thread the other night. It looks like the 4.56 is great for autos and the 4.30 is preferred for manuals. With the crawl box, gear selection off road is unlimited, on road is where a new gear set is ultimately going to shine. For drivability, 4.30’s should be pretty good until the major modifications begin. With the 37’s, 4.88’s will likely be the next step and selling the 4.30’s shouldn’t be too difficult. Hopefully.

What up Josh! What are you getting into today?
