    Right on

lemme know what Dobinson says, mine is less than perfect as well. Even though it’s a clone of a clone

I just pulled my driver side CV and I’m about to tackle the needle bearing when the oil drains. Then I’ll tear apart the passenger side and replace the other blown CV.

    Dang.

Got done talking to the GM at dobinsons here on TW, they're out of the ones for 2005-2015 until November. The part number mine is supposed to be is not what's on the back of my snorkel. He needs to get a current one in to compare to my pictures and info. So probably nothing else until November. He took my name, email and purchase location (I ordered straight from his company at dobinsons direct).

He did say that most fitment issues cane down to the stuff holes hit being the direct 16mm diameter. Mine were slightly tight, but I hit it again with my step drill and retested fitment. It fit better, but still horribly.

Well damn. Hopefully they’ll get you squared away with a better fitting one soon.

He just contacted me again. Says my issue might be a one-off casting problem and as soon as they get new ones in he'll warranty mine and send a replacement

That's what I'm saying. Good on Dobinsons for standing behind their products.

The shaft looks good, I’m about to push in the new seal and put the drivers side back together.

    But first

Until i talked to Chris, i was unaware that the driver and passenger side have a needle bearing. Good idea to replace the passenger side one if you ever have to tear into the diff tube

So I seated the bushing, pulled the c-clip off the CV cup, put the CV in, put the big ass ratchet in the CV cup and drove the bushing in place in like four swings. I did the same for the seal and it was seamless. Coolest accidental tool combo I’ve figured out in a while

Dammit I would have ordered two, I’m about to pull that side apart. Eh. It’s not making noise that I can hear yet.
