I'd love to be a part of that. I'll start dropping hints at work as soon as I get back.

No not yet. My money is still on the O2 sensors. Smells like it's running rich. I'll do them when I do the clutch.

    Forgot to update:

Heavy flywheel, new bolts, new rear main seal, 4 new O2 sensors all ordered.

Just waiting on parts so I can begin fucking shit up!

Shit's adding up. A long time ago I thought about starting a spreadsheet to keep track, I'm glad I didn't! I'd have pushed it into a river to stop myself by now lol

Also, crazy idea I've been kicking around for a while. Started putting more thought into it since the accident. I've thinking about buying an old school bus and converting it to a rolling apartment.

    5F0C39DE-5A8B-46FC-88BA-F0A60B220EDC.jpg C82B4E3E-7794-4D17-ABAB-83426FC8D9C6.jpg A0D47BBD-6B31-4A29-938C-4079FEB89D3D.jpg 706B44A6-3E3F-4741-8534-1641272539A8.jpg 37A48B0C-C9AC-4838-8CF5-E45218232F64.jpg

All of that is inside this bus. It's considered mid-size.

    9DCAF900-DEF3-4381-9C16-47E7BBEF2018.jpg

The couple living in that one run all the electronics, including the AC, on solar. The heaters for coming and the shower run on propane which usually lasts them about 6 weeks a tank. Their primary limiting factor is water. Their 65 gallon tank usually lasts 2 weeks. Sounds good to me!

The bus wouldn't have any issue pulling my truck, tools, and dirt bike in an enclosed trailer as long as I find one with the right engine/transmission. The ideal combo is the Cummins 8.3 turbodiesel with the purpose-built Allison transmission.

This one only has 127k and had been fleet maintained.
    B075FC53-4A73-4E38-A0CF-20BDEAFB154C.jpg

My truck would need about 19x8 to fit comfortably, this trailer is 8.5x24

    8F294A43-0BC1-4A58-B775-9AD4B650217C.jpg

    I'd probably go for a 28'

I have been crunching the numbers a lot and if I sold my Jeep and a few other things, I could buy the bus and trailer and still have a bit left over for the conversion. If my Jeep sells as well as the others similar to it on eBay I'm looking at 15-20k, which blew me away. I've been watching less desirable year XJ's with more problems, more miles, and lesser quality parts and labor sell that high so I'll remain cautiously optimistic until I have the cash in hand. If anyone on here wants it, let me know. Here's a pic

That’s a crazy genius setup!! If that’s a dream of yours and CFO is on board with it get after it, that’s something relatively easily attained.

I will be sad about losing my (sort of) insulated garage. But the trailer will hold all my tools. I can do most things inside it. I'll add an awning to the trailer and if I need more space I'll just find a flat, hard place to park and do it there. Another thought I just had, you can now get on base with a veterans ID card. I can use the auto hobby shop again!

State parks have long-term spots and you could even work as a park ranger. :anonymous:

For free no less. Got my lifetime card to state and national parks.

And I'd love to ranger the shit out of parks like Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Redwoods, Tetons, and Glacier
