I used the FJ front axle tube and just zip tied the plug for the actuator up as high as I could reach.

For the lights on the dash, it's super easy. Cut the plug to the transfer case and use two wires to the 4wd/2wd and two to three hi/lo sensor. Behind the dash at the 4x4 ECU you'll cut four wires and splice them to each other.

I can get some better pics and walk you through it if you want.

Gotta say, I love the FJ swap. 10/10 do recommend.

Hey Chris there is a TW member that has put together a locking hub setup but it’s kinda pricey.

No need for me to get that far in depth with the wiring yet. But thanks for the offer

I would love to go that route. Maybe one day. The price/benefits ratio puts it kind of far down the list

No problem! @Littles has a pretty thorough walk-through on his build page. I followed his work as a guide for my own

Agreed. Luckily I made all these big purchases before it started getting weird.

Found this $180 temp gauge on fleabay for $60. Figured it'll be a good way to keep track of the overall health of the crawl box given that it likes to piss oil out randomly. I'll put it where the now useless 4wd knob is. Just eyeballing it, but I think that plug next to the gauge is exactly the same size and pitch as the drain plug. I'll check later but if it is that'll be freaking awesome.

I'm glad to hear you made it back before the big lock down! Off-shore in South America as well?

Look, I'm not saying I am Batman or that I'm not Batman... But you never see he and I at the same party, do you?
