Sounds about right. I started smoking at 14 to take advantage of smoke breaks at McDonalds. Smoked through my 20s and finally quit on the drive out to CO.

Stay strong. The first 14 days are the worst. That's the chemical dependency. after that you are fighting mental association. I had " smoking dreams" for a few months after quitting. I would really call them nightmares. After all the effort you put into quitting, you will likely dream about smoking and have a cigarette in your dreams. You'll wake up devastated, thinking you fucked up everything you worked so hard for. You might hate yourself for you first 5 seconds of consciousness. But then you'll realize it was a dream and breath sigh of relief that you didnt just sacrifice it all. Its "normal"

I quit cigarettes and switched to a douche-flute (vaporizer) in 2018. Now I'm trying to give that up. I honestly miss cigarettes every single day. Especially in the morning. Or with coffee. Or when it's cold. Or when I'm drinking beer. Or when I smell someone else having one. Or when I see one. Gotta stop thinking about it now lol. Not having that chemical rush this morning sucked.

    I know it’s hard.
    I love tobacco.
Family grew it in Virginia. Loved walking the fields and smell the barn with it hanging. Will never forget my first chew of a dried leaf right off the stalk with morning dew still on it

    But nicotine gum has nicotine!
    Thanks, I'm gonna need it.
Yea but that's not saying much, 2020 has been extra shitty.
    Nicotine is a bitch.

I'm going to look at it today in a bit of a rush. I'm heading out to North Carolina tomorrow morning on the motorcycle for a bit of a family emergency.

Made it back home, hell of a ride. 1400 miles in 15 hours! I have a titanium taint.

    Bus was nice!
    I bought it.
I've already started gutting it and pulled out several pounds of nonsensical wiring. This one is about as perfect as they come! I'll get pics up soon.

    Thanks, Kevin. Really appreciate that

Yes all seems to be ok. He's downplaying the whole thing but I can tell it took a bit of wind out of his sails. I'm glad I went up there. He's always trying to go a mile a minute. I was able to get him to slow it down for a few days, at least.

We did manage to have a little fun while I was there. Went to the pistol range and plinked some steel. I hadn't shot my subcompact too much and was delighted to find out I can hit 6" pie plates at 30yds (the max distance on the range) pretty consistently with it. Shooting steel is so, so satisfying: BANG! PING! BANGBANG! PINGPING! Anyone know a range with steel targets in SA?

And now something I've been dreading...
The truck is officially for sale. The downsizing has begun. I've got a few things I want to take care of before I let it go, but it's got to go. I'll be flat towing the XJ.

The bike is also for sale.

If anyone reading this is interested, please send me a private message.

    Bus updates to follow soon.

You and my dad would get along pretty good. If the stars align and he's in town for a CnC I'll bring him out for it. I'm sure he'd enjoy the trucks as much as the cars.

It's a good truck. Sitting in it now waiting for a car wash. There's a lot of man-hours in this thing. Lots of reading and research and trial and error. I'm not looking forward to it but I think it's the right choice. I really want one last good camping/crawling trip in it before it goes.

I dunno dude, gorillas have thumbs, insane grip, strong as fuck, have crazy big fangs, are super agile, and move incredibly fast. I think the gorilla would wreck the grizzly. He'd be bleeding but the grizzly would be mashed potatoes.
