Haha! I figure it's the best opportunity to get in all the tight spaces and clean out what I can before I put it all back together again. Don't know the next time I'll be able to reach those areas.

    Thank you, sir!

Soaked it overnight and hit it with wire wheels. It didn't clean up as well as had hoped.

So, why don't you break it in with some old friends on June 12?

Ah yeah, probably won't make it unless the weather turns to garbage.

I'm still breaking in the differentials too but I've only got about 180 miles to go on them.

    She crawl!

    113E5320-5C48-467F-A979-364E29474AAF.jpg

I may have cooked the diffs a bit more than intended the other day, hopefully the hour or so of slow cool-down driving helped.

Unfortunately I don't have too many pictures to dump. I have been in this habit of doing a ton of work and not taking many pictures. But here's the gist of it:

The lift is done and aligned, the crawl box is installed and it.
    freakin.
    C R A W L S.
It's unreal. With wet and muddy tires at 35psi it walked right up that ledge without a locker. It did side-slip a bit but I didn't care, I was too busy giggling.
I added a one-ton steering kit up front to resist all the extra tire meat. That's been really nice.
I added an Anti-Rock sway bar up front which gives you all the benefits of a sway bar off road. You get like 99% of the flex available and you keep 100% of the benefits of a sway bar while off road so the front and rear sway bars work with each other to keep your tires planted.
    All the lights work correctly.
I added some aluminum corner guards which I'm 50/50 on. I planned on color matching them but now I can't decide if I like the aluminum or not better. I'm glad I went with aluminum though, they're very light and will resist the many beach trips.
I'm still waiting for a muffler, though. So, she loud. For now. Hopefully the Banks muffler will come off backorder soon and I can quiet it down some.
I replaced all the speakers with Kickers and added a sweet little kicker sub. It doesn't have the bass the Tacoma did but I had way more than I anticipated with that sub so I turned it down some with this stereo. I'm using two Kicker Key amps, a 4-channel 500 watt and 500 watt mono-channel. They're pretty cool, they tune themselves and they're itty bitty! The whole system sounds very nice but I wouldn't mind a bit more volume. I'll eventually upgrade the speakers again.
Still waiting on the correct probe/sensor from AutoMeter for the oil pressure gauge, kind of annoying.
I cancelled the JCR fenders. I wanted lower profile so I ordered Poison Spyders negative fenders. They look like -

    upload_2021-6-9_23-15-59.jpg

    Instead of -

    upload_2021-6-9_23-12-22.jpg

    With these fender liners -

    upload_2021-6-9_23-18-6.jpg

I plan to color-match the fenders but I'll likely leave the aluminum liners naked.

And, one of the stupider but most favorite modifications I've ever made -

    63AE7622-42CC-4B42-B1FF-F4CE4549B12C.jpg

Purple seatbelts! My old seatbelts were kind of ratty and didn't extend and retract as smooth as I would have liked so I had them rebuilt. The company that did it offered different colors and I thought I wanted red... Then I saw the purple. I freakin love em. Never seen anyone with purple seatbelts!

I'm still waiting on some King shocks, a big radiator, high flow water pump, and replacement seats. I ordered a pair of these -

    B62DE6C6-19D1-43F5-A0B8-717CA54EAD52.jpg

It's been a lot all at once but I'm going to be done with it for a while aside from maintenance and small things that will come up here and there. The next projects will be axles, coilovers, and a 10" wheelbase stretch.

Well, we do have a field out back, but the City hasn't mowed it in a few weeks. Give me a fly over and honk your horn! Helo's have horns, right? Look for the two fish windsocks on the North end of the city.
