Damn!!! You have been doing a lot of work! When your done want to work on mine? JK

Unfortunately, all I have been doing is yard work, trying to put in a stone patio. I did take a trip to Germany and hit 200 kph on the autobahn so... that was definitely worth not working on my truck! Lol

    Hope things are going well!

Hell yeah bring your rig on over! I just stocked up on cutting discs, flap wheels, and welding wire and I'm all too willing to use your truck as a guinea pig for a SAS :sawzall: :drevil: :welder:

Things are good, staying busy with work and side projects. How about yourself?

I've always wanted to check out Germany. Where did you visit? That's pretty cool about the Autobahn! What were you driving?

    Well... That's the tricky part.

I'd love to run STT Pros and be done with BFG but I don't think they're available in 255's. If so, I haven't seen them yet.

Audio upgrade complete! The amp really brought the door speakers to life and the sub adds some nice depth to the music now! Very happy with it all around. I'll get some pics when the sun is up again.

I also spent some extra time working on the factory switches above the shifter. 3/4 of these switches work at the moment. I'll need to run the fog lights over to the new switch and then I'll reroute the wiring for the A-TRAC to the freshly opened fog light switch left of the steering wheel. For tonight, I'm more than satisfied.

Nice! Better than doing nothing at all by a long shot. Got any other plans for your truck coming up? Have you put a dent in that big box ‘o parts you had?

    Fourth SCS rim shipped today!

I'm stuck trying to decide on new tires. I think I'm going to swap out the 255's for either 285's or 315's. I'm done with BFG and unfortunately all the treads I like aren't available in 255. It's between MTR's and STT Pro's and I'm leaning more towards the STT Pro's at the moment.

I'm pretty certain I can clear the 285's, might have to persuade a pinch weld or a cab mount but that's expected. I'm really curious if I could fit 315's... I'm going to have to do some measuring and maybe just order one and do some test fitting. I'm cool with trimming the fenders and the flares but I'll have to put that off until after the rice season ends.

The other thing about the 315's I'll definitely need a regear. Sooner than later. And, if I'm going to crack open the diffs, I'm going to want to say fuck it and drop a locker in the front. First world problems, I get it, but I'm trying to save up some money for something big coming up.

And now for something completely different.

I wouldn't go any bigger than a 285 personally. Already a challenge making it work in the spare location but do able. I really want a CMC to go up to 285 too. I would have to find a shop and I don't think I'm comfortable with a random worker cutting it up lol.

Currently, I have nothing in the spare location. And I'll probably keep it that way. I'd like to add the Archive hammer hangers and crossmember in the future so the spare will be impossible to fit.

I did some measuring yesterday. In the front I'm 24" from hub to fender with 9" between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender flares. 3" from the closest point from tire to fender. My truck sits pretty tall on the extended travel shocks.

My current tires are 33.4" tall. If I went up to 34.8's I'd be about .7" closer to the flare at the closest point. The new SR8's will push the tires further outward and 315's are an inch wider. I run the risk of eating a flare under a lot of compression without modification.

I think it's time to chop that cab mount and trim my fenders...

    :sawzall::sawzall::sawzall::sawzall:

We'll see how the test fit goes first...

CMC for sure, you just going to toss spare in the bed? Did you get another jack, or running with a block or something for potential flats?
