I'm really happy with them! The old rims made the tires sit really far inboard and the truck looked like it one of those railroad service trucks.

    BC60845C-0ABD-4BF7-A18A-CFE61172CEF9.jpg

Now the tires sit just outside the wheel well as they should.

I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the 255's after all. Until I can fit 35's at least. Sticking with the pizza cutters for now will give me more time to save up for gears and the front locker and plan out the fender hack a bit better. I'd rather take my time than rush that kind of thing.

Looks pretty good as is. I went with 265, 75, 16 and think they look fine. While I really want 285, I have no real need or practical use. I would like to do it though. You could always go a touch bigger next and not have to cut or do anything to it.

Well, I always seem to have a surplus of beer; you're always welcome to help me properly dispose of it.

And if you have anything else in that giant box 'o mods, I'll be more than happy to help install it!

285's look pretty good but they do take some work to make them fit right. Nothing wrong with 265's! I will say, if you want taller and no trimming, 255's are a great size.

My wife kind of talked me into keeping with the 255's until I do the labor to for the 35's. For now I'm going to hold off until I have the gears and locker installed and prep the wheel wells. I'm probably going to have to change up the intake and fender liners too.

That makes sense. How long are you thinking?

And yeah I will gladly take the help with the box of parts, I was actually thinking of asking if you know of anyone with a lift so I can add that leaf in and replace the bushings. Was going to ask in SA thread too. Not sure yet if I can make it this weekend or next, it might be best if it’s next weekend the 23-24.

I'm always willing/happy to help. I'm just not sure if I'll still be in town that weekend. Rice pollination will start up soon so we'll be out of town flying all day every day until the end of July or early August.

I've done add-a-leafs without a lift, it's not too bad. Which leaf are you putting in? I haven't replaced bushings but I'll try anything twice. I wonder if I should order some and do mine? How long are they good for? Mine are about 2 years. The u-bolt flip is super easy, 20 maybe 30 minutes with beer involved.

Jaysus I need to regear. This is almost embarrassing. The truck gets 14.3 mpg average right now. My 98 Jeep Cherokee with 6" of full long travel and 33x12.50's gets around 18 in the city and 22+ on the highway with 4.56's.

    Jeep - taken today, 7/2/18

I get 14.5 mpg on a regular basis. If I get to wide open hiway maybe 18, with a strong tail wind.

I do about the same, just wish I had more tailwinds lol

I’ve been experimenting with mid-grade and the last couple fill-ups it’s showed 1-1.5 mpg improvement. Not really worth the extra mileage but the truck does run much better. No more knocking at lower RPM, so that’s a plus.

For Sale - Pelfreybilt rear high clearance bumper. Used but in excellent condition. I will include the rigid back up lights and wiring harness for them as well. If you need help installing it, I will be happy to assist and supply beer in my shop.

More pics can be found throughout my build and are available on request.

The catch - it won’t be available until I can get the dual swing out bumper on.

Another rice season in the bag! Unfortunately it was only about half as long as last year's season so not as many hours and not as much money but I'm not complaining. Here are some pics

    Going to my fields

Contoured rows look cool from above

This field was amazing. Super healthy crops. The light green rows are male and the dark green is female.

When we fly over the males, our rotor wash spreads the pollen to the female rows fertilizing them.

Had a GREAT time at Hidden Falls today with the TTC group! I didn't take nearly enough pictures but I know my GoPro got some decent video so I'll go through that and put together a compilation. I always get caught up in the action and forget to take pictures but here are the pics I did manage to take.

Started on re-wiring everything in the truck yesterday. The first time I did it I was in a rush and just made everything work. The second time I didn't finish and went back to the way it was the first time. Third time's a charm. It took me all day yesterday to build new harnesses and pull out the crap from before and I'm still only about 1/3 of the way through.

I was successful in rerouting the fog light switch to the new OTRATTW switch and ran all the wires for the A-TRAC over to the left side of the steering wheel. Now I just need to get the proper size factory looking switch to replace the original. Anyone know a good vendor?

I also built a Bussman 5 relay and fuse box to run anything that'll require a relay. Wish I had more real estate under the hood though.

    Everything is going from this
    717C6999-F21F-4F79-BB3C-72FAA7F5D5A6.jpg

    To this
    51127C59-ACF8-4717-B2D7-00326B8F3FED.jpg

    To this

    13AAEE13-5EE8-4198-968E-DA10E30E25FC.jpg

    And beyond.

Once I get everything in I'm going to label everything with a label maker, drill-twist all the wires, sheath them, and mount the harness up and out of sight. I've also got some rock lights and interior lights to install but honestly...

    0751E4FD-E8DD-4FB6-B89E-16A67533EEC1.jpg

... I'm probably going to hold off on that until fall. I just won't do any night wheeling.
