Needle bearing is on driver side i thought, so if you were turning to the right, wouldnt it be putting more stress/load on the needle bearing? Not saying you're wrong, just trying to talk things through

Yeah, I’ve got a link somewhere for a company that you can send your rear middle headrest too and they will put you valentine one main unit in it and send it back. Between the two you have a killer hidden system.

The CV going into the front diff in the driver's side has a lot more play than the passenger side. And here's a really weird fun fact I just remembered. Sometimes when I kill the engine, it will make the noise.

    No kidding!
Well that's weird af.. does the groan increase in speed as engine speed (RPM) increases? i am wondering if there is something in your motor related to those metal shavings that isnt too happy

    It's synchronized to wheelspeed only.

I literally just figured it out. It is the needle bearing. As the truck shuts down the increase in vibration from the engine wiggles the CV around making the noise.

I'll put it in 4wd and do highway speed later. That's why when I was wheeling in Utah I never heard it. I was in 4wd or going too slow for it to make noise.

Awesome! i have noticed that the passenger cv has more play in it where it goes into the diff. thats crazy it was causing that. Glad to know thats what it is though, good to know nothing too serious to worry about before jambo

Fingers crossed that's what it is. I'll order the bushing and deal with it later.

Hell it's under warranty. Dealer can deal with it lol

Gotta get my money's worth out of that while I can!
