This is perfect for page 69.

I have waited nearly 30 years to see one of these in person and today I got to watch one fly. This is my dream job. This is where I want to be in 15-20 years.

    Meet Camille.

This is the picture I saw when I was four or five. This is what hooked me.

Ordered my ADD switch from Rock Solid Toys April 18, money came out of my account, and.... Nothing?

Not answering emails, not returning calls. The address I gave guarantees it goes to a secure mailbox or directly to an office.

    :notsure:

One more week and I'm cancelling the order and contesting the charges. I learned enough from Pelfreybilt.

Fairly discouraging. I love supporting small business.

@BassAckwards how's your FJ swap coming along? How much was the FJ tube?

Ughh man, been on hold for a while. Been battling my green truck's transmission problems. Kinda put those as a top priority since its my daily again..

I did get the diff tube swapped in a couple months ago. 4 engages much smoother without the ADD. Sold my ADD to a guy out in california that was having issues for 100 bucks, and it fixed his 4wd engagement issues, so that was a win-win.

Still kinda nervous about pulling it all apart.. would be down to have a tcase swap day at some point if youd be interested. thatd get me more motivated. I did buy cutoff wheels to cut into the floor, but never did it lol:rofl:

I'm up for a swap day. I almost get bored working long projects by myself. Then I drink too much... then I get distracted on TW... my project takes four times as long as it should, I can't ever find the damn 10mm socket, and I end up with a handful of extra bolts and I couldn't tell you if they're leftovers from a previous project or if I'm missing some serious hardware

How much was the tube again? Did you get it new or used? I've been thinking about it a lot lately, it's one less failure prone part to fail on me. I may as well, right?

Let me do one more oil analysis and figure out the engine crap. Then we'll arrange for a swap day :D

If I’m off work I’d be glad to help as well. I’m probably gonna wait for a bunch more parts before tearing mine apart so I need something to do besides spend money

Haha you sound like a good person to wrench with. I always get moving and try to get done so maybe your mentality can help me slow down and enjoy it more:D

I bought it all new from camelback toyota. I think it was about 350 for everything i needed.

Absolutely, that sounds good, i am in no rush and you definitely should figure that out before changing up your drivetrain

Sounds like a mod day in the works!:)

Haha thanks, I like to have fun with it if I can but it's always better with another person out there.

    I'll see if I can't find one

Yep. I'm just going to cancel the order and do the FJ tube.

You can also take the add off and weld the sleeve on your tube in the engaged position, and then just make a blockoff plate and seal it up with some rtv. I think 05taco4x4 did this.m

    Don't worry dude.

There's a 10mm socket out there for everyone.

Keep looking and you'll find the right one
