Do you have the factory shifter or a short-throw?

Hope you dont mind me dropping in on your thread but we're all trying to do the same thing with these dual cases. Homey is a good friend of mine and the inspiration for my eventual setup as well.

Homer has the Hurst short throw which attaches to the shifter base using two bolts. He just flipped it over to the opposite side and put a small spacer to move it more driver. He did not hack that one up. I doubt it will all fit up there without a short throw on the trans. I think you're correct on the rest...he cut and welded extensions on a brand new triple stick from radesigns to move everything forward. I think the hardest one to fit is the crawlbox. I just did a test fit the other night an that has a ton of throw compared to the H/L and 2/4 shifters on the FJ case. My expectation is that it will be a lot of trial and error. Cut, weld, heat, bend, test, repeat.

I'm very interested in how this works out. Mechanical parts I'd prefer to not modify, beside bolt-on, but body, frame or interior I'm good with.

Yeah i bet a lot of custom work went into that! Super clean though, would be awesome to be able to have 4 shifters and 3 cup holders!

By all means, welcome to the thread. Feel free to chime in any ole time!

I'm using the URD shorty but I'm always concerned I'm going to snap the ball on it. I'd be happy to shift (ha! No lame pun intended) over to the Hurst to get that extra kick forward homey got and I'm pretty certain it's a one-piece. All that is, of course, secondary to getting this shit installed and working at 100%.

You sure you don't want to be the fastest and (one of the) slowest tacos in the group?

Much versatile. So speed. Many slows.

That is the goal. No cup holders need to be harmed in the making of this slow, slow taco.

I love the idear, and it would be nice to put it in low low to crawl over the speed bumps at the mall, but not sure id use it much besides for that:rofl:

Lol ya I know, no use whatsoever in either of your trucks. But if you (needlessly) get in on the group buy it'll save everyone money and you'll be a hero.

    Sorta.

Eeeeyyyyyy where ya been?! Haven't seen you in here lately

Yes and no. The FJ Case is twin stuck and waiting for install in the garage. I've been holding off for two reasons:

    1) The metal shavings I found in my oil. Could be a 'spensive job. I don't want Toyota voiding my warranty and not covering it because I voided the warranty with a sweet drivelive mod.

    And

    2) I've decided to add a crawl box. There's a bit of fuckery with that decision right now regarding custom couplers and seals and the usual lead times with the manufacturer. Once I have everything on hand, I'll do one install so I don't end up punching any extra big-ass holes in the tub.
