How about those Golden State Warriors?

Spurs great defense, Warriors cold shooting, crappy officiating, and two critical players out with injuries. All combine to equal a Warrior loss. And the losing Streak in San Antonio continues. Spurs did a great job forcing the Warriors into a half court game. Golden State almost pulled out a victory but just could not get the baskets when needed.

Warriors looked bad last night. Curry especially. They have played 10 games in 16 days. Tough games. Every team gets Up for them, and give their best. Ezile is still out with injuries, Bogut and Igoudala are also out. Thankfully, Draymond Green was a monster last night, and the bench outscored the T-wolves bench 37-8. Game might not have been close had the Warriors made better than 50% of their free throws. That is terrible. And the discrepancy on fouls called was just crazy. Overwhelmingly in favor of Minnesota. And twice the Warriors defense forced turnovers just before the shot clock expired, and were on their way to a fast break basket when the refs decided to whistle the play dead. Warriors then had to take an inbound which slowed the play down and negated the fast break attempt. Just nutty stuff. But they get out of town with a win. 2 wins out of three on the road trip. And, San Antonio gave away a win against the Hornets last night. Warriors now have a 4 game lead over the Spurs for the Number 1 Seed in the play offs. That’s big. Only 12 games remain in the regular season.

Warriors had another tight game for 3 quarters. Then raced to finish off the Clippers.

Prior to this game the Warriors were 20-1 against the top 11 teams.

In the last 109 games in which they lead, at any time in the game, by 15 or more points, they are 109-0.

What a game. I tip my hat to Utah

 

I didn't think they could make it back to win this one. Getting into Utah at 4 a.m. after a game the night before. Playing at 4400' elevation when your home court is at sea level. Amazing gut check. Just hope they don't wear themselves out before the playoffs just to get the Best Record in league history.

Bounce back win for the Warriors. Taking on Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard is insanely good. Tight game until the 4th. Warriors pull out in front and run the Blazers out of the gym. Green had another Triple Double. Ezile is back, but Bogut is out. Iguadola is still out. Meanwhile, down in LA, the Celtics were being seriously challenged by the Lakers. What?

Warrior become the 4th team in NBA history to win 69 games.

Given the performance of the last few games the Warriors better take a step back and think about the Play Off schedule. They looked piss poor against a hungry T-wolves squad, last night.

 

Warriors clinch Number 1 seed with 70th win of the season. The second team in NBA history to reach 70 wins. I don't care about the record, but I would like to at least see the Warriors get a win in San Antonio.
