Mob Armor magnetic mount. Has the 3M sticker posted above. I put mine over the air bag passenger light. Seemed like the best place and doesn't block the vents. Been running for 4 months now and love it!

    What year are you running?
I'm still a bit skeptical of that tape ... I need to figure out why it's not sticking to my dash ...

Oh ya and it's magnetic for the phone, stick a metal sticker they give you on the phone. They also have a physical mount. I like the magnet, works great and stays out for the most part off-road, never had my phone fall, just move a little.

Yeah, I saw that mod elsewhere ... I'm not sure I want to do that yet or not. We'll see.

Won't swap out a bolt but will stick stuff on the dash? Seems like it'd be the other way around. Doesn't add up to me.............but it is yours so go for it.

I don't like the placement on the left hand side.
I prefer my screens all in the middle of the dash ...
I also already bought a mount but the 3M adhesive wouldn't stick to my dash. It's why I'm looking for other ideas ...

What about the little plate thing that goes under stereo that sticks out with 3 - 1" ball mounts?

I put a ram mount ball on the lower driverside grab bar. Works perfect. All you need is a longer bolt.

Ram mount plus x grip using factory bolt location on driver A Pilar. Doesnt interfere with side curtain airbags either

this is all probably moot now ... I'm probably going to be selling my 2000 in a month or so ... I love the truck, don't want to, but it makes sense financially.

Went this route, thank you for the inspiration on this thread in mentioning it. Works great. Even had an appropriate length cap-screw and spacer sleeve kicking around, thanks to too many years of spare motorcycle parts hoarding.

looks good. i can't take credit for this mod idea, I learned it on here from someone else but forget who... it sure is nice and secure/easy... now to run power and a line out under the dash and up the pillar...

I have a USB power port already installed on that side of the dash (blank switch-plates are good!) - so a quick and dirty 6" external cable run was all that was necessary.
