i see youre in oregon .... last time i was up there i did worse than normal im thinking your guyses gas is more watered down or something

as for me, i have an older 3.4 and attribute my mileage mostly to it being a 2wd

Honestly, after driving back from work one day with ice present and 43 MPH as top speed I looked down to my ScanGuage and it showed 23.5 miles per gallon for that trip. Trip was about 30 miles long.

06 Access Cab, 4wd, V6, Auto, Stock, 87 Regular. The worst tank I ever got was 530km (19.5mpg) and the best 660km(23.5mpg). It drops off if you do a lot of frequent short trips which, for me is to and from work.. I ride my bike when its nice out though.

Its a nice average IMO, My 20R/22R/22RE/3VZE powered trucks never got any better and had no power in comparison.

Usually average a little better than 19. Best I ever got was about 24 on a trip up to Lexington, KY. All interstate driving though and kept the cruise set on 70. I'm starting to drive about 60 on interstate now so I'll see how that helps out with MPG. Like a lot of people I've noticed that mileage drops off drastically the faster you go.

I think your V6, 4x4, elevation, towing, lift and tires may have something to do with your poor mileage.

    Just a hunch.

I've been averaging 19.2 for the last several fill ups. Cant seem to get up to 20 no matter what. All stock but mostly city driving with very little hwy time, so if I drove more hwy I think it would hit 20 but cant see much more.

I average 16.5 in Vegas. That's with very limited highway. I have gotten over 20 a few times going north on I15 to Utah. Get the best mpg with my quad in the bed so maybe a little weight in the rear helps.

19.98 mpg at the last fill up. That's 285 procomp xtreme M/T's and a 3" with a V6. I'm happy with this, switched to full synthetic and picked up 2 or 3 mpg on the first tank.

in my case i think i go a bit slower with the quad in back, cause its taller than the roof of the truck so better gas in my case wouldnt make sense

Keep your foot off the gas, but accelerate to 50 quicker than you think. If you take more than 15 seconds to get to 50 your wasting gas .. you want to get to your cruising gear quickly but not by flooring it.

The trick to better gas mileage is not by babying the gas, it's by not hitting the brakes.

I was a pretty aggressive driver and got terrible mileage. My wife in the same vehicles always got 3-5 MPg better than me so I watched what she did. Nice steady movements and nothing jerky, go with a purpose but without flooring it.

I drive 80 miles a day of which 70 is highway and I use cruise control at 64-67 depending on traffic. I also use it to adjust my speed up or down, unless traffic stops and I have to brake harder.
