Oy Seer LOL...so should I just wire brush by hand to scuff it up and remove any surface rust then coat with POR 15? Versus taking the drill and brush to it? Or buy the stuff that goes on before the POR 15? Don't worry I'm sipping the same Kool Aid! Reading everything I can on different products. My friend did a 1969 VW Bug restore and used POR 15, it was good stuff, went on nice with a brush too.

I did talk to a local body shop guy about the non drying type of undercoating, guess it's like fluid film, only he suggested a product by 3M called Rust Fighter, comes in a rattle can. In the end I chose the POR 15. At this point I'd like to dip the whole dang truck in something :D Thanks for the reply!

This is why I use rust paint. No sanding, no priming, still works. :D

OP: Did you end up fixing your frame rust, or are you just driving the truck?

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
i would just wash it on a hot week and make sure its good and dry and clean and spray it with some type of rust halting/primer paint or undercoating, no use stressing too much it looks good but its at the time where you can slow it and save it.

I'm just driving it. I was going to get it undercoated but I heard it can trap moisture and rust more without me noticing. I still want to do something about it though.
I don't even know how to slow it.

I underside is mint, I live near Toronto where they pour the salt on the roads. Every October I take my vehicles to Oil Guard, a local oil spray franchise, similar to Krown but not Ziebart.
