I just watched a YouTube video of a guy who threw on a 6” lift and said it was the biggest mistake of his life.

I’ve never really seen the point of lifting a truck 6” because I just thought it was an unnecessary risk to suspension components with little functional use (not to mention a good 6” lift is expensive)

So those of you running or who have ran a 6” lift on your 3rd gen, what was your experience, what kit did you run, and why did you do it?

A lift of any height doesn’t increase reliability since you raise the center of gravity and change the driveline angles.

Look at all the serious off road race trucks and rock crawlers, none are really “lifted”. They just modify to extend wheel travel within the truck ie larger and deeper fender wells, or take them off completely like a crawler.
