OK this puts this to an end...... The OP got what he needed and wanted!!!

IF SPACER LIFTS are so DAM bad why does TOYOTA offer and warranty them on BRAND NEW vehicles...

Some times this place becomes a F%$^&*( soap opera...

Quick follow up, I ordered from wheelers around 6 or so and they've already sent me an email confirming shipment! I'm usually pretty happy when a place ships in two days, but this didn't even take them a half a day, I'm impressed.

What? You don't preload eibachs on 1st gens. Gtfo 2nd gen.

And yes..I'm pretty sure 5100s are longer. I will get the specs here..

Also have fun with future axle warp and shut springs. At least Ben got a good AAL and not a shit ass block out back. That is the worst for Toyota leafs.

Glad you got what you wanted. I'm sure a 1/4 top plate isn't going to affect anything.

Either way. Spacers aren't really an upgrade at all. They just cause problems later down the road.

And blocks are epic fail. And I do have experience with those cause apparently that matters

Oh and Ben while that pic of you in the crack is great and all..it's due to your bad lift and suspension you even have a tire up in the air mad why you almost rolled it.

You're right, I forgot the 5100's are set at 0 with Eibachs.

future axle wrap from a 1'' block? that won't happen any faster than without it, it's a very small change in leverage. When they start to flatten and get more axle wrap, I can buy new leafs, but until then it rides a hell of a lot better than with an AAL.

I had an 01 with an AAL, and an 08 with an AAL, and have experienced the stiff ride they provide. I don't want my brand new $40,000 truck to ride like crap by adding an AAL.

AND as for the "shit springs" what do you suspect is going to cause them to be shitty? with an above coil spacer there is no preload placed on the shock or coil, so they will last just as long as they would without the spacer.

haha apparently! I once knocked spacers too, but like most people, I didn't know why haha. they are a great option with very little negative effects for an extremely good price.

Might be hard to tell from these pics but I can tell the difference in the wheel gap up front after going with 1/4" spacers up front to get the 1/2" lift. Look closely at the gap from top of tire to fender arch. I measured before and after and did get the 1/2".

It's been said on here before... but in my experience, nothing wrong with spacers if you intend to keep it on the pavement or gravel roads. If you intend to off-road at all, go with a well-outfitted suspension lift. Good luck.

Mine is dd prerunner so doesn't really matter what I do, it won't involve the truck doing much offroad much less anything that will require bunches of articulation or breaking of struts/shocks. Agree with lots posted here, but main thing is there are limits to whatever setup people go with and limits of the vehicle set up whichever way that must be adhered to or bad shit will happen. There are only shortcuts to failure when ignoring the limits.

I got a 3inch kit from Fat Bobs Garage with the spacers and AAL. I dont offroad much. They have done me good so far. It has been almost a year and 20,000miles. Possibly saving up for new front shocks in the future, but want to get new tires first.

i'm running 3" coilover spacers (not the preload type) and have had no problems thus far, and i do moderate offroading, though i have noticed if i hit a sharp uphill lip going too fast, i can feel my suspension hit its full extension due to the decreased downtravel resulting from spacers. one day,i will upgrade, but as far as street ride, the ride up front is very smooth, just as good as stock and there will be no problems on the street whatsoever. and as far as saying the 'right way' of doing something, you could argue that the 'right way' is to go balls out on an sas or lt, and that billies/eibachs/ome etc. are a waste of money as people tend to say spacers are. Doesn't matter what you do, there WILL be something better out there.
