Depends, are you sitting at stoplights much and and in stop and go traffic all the time -- if so, you aren't going to get very good mileage. I've gotten up to 25 mpg in my '06 4x4 Dbl Cab 6 cyl but that was on a hardy-used state road at 55 mph with only a couple of towns to go through. When I lived in a city and idled at ten stoplights on the way to work and back each day in rush-hour traffic I got about 200 miles before the fuel light would come on, as you are doing.

Before taking it back to the dealer take it on a couple hundred mile road trip on a highway where you don't have to drive 90 mph to keep up with traffic and see what your mileage is there. Most of the time I get about 21-22 mpg on the Interstate at 65 mph.

Filled up yesterday prior to driving upstate. 18.6 on last tank mostly local driving. Definately like the warm weather increase.

I get 15 with winter gas and heavy off road tires. Do you race off of every stop light?

    Thanks for all the reply's.

I've been researching this page for some time and couldn't find anyone that had mpg like I do.
I do drive a lot in the city (downtown LA), but never race off any red lights or go over 2k rpms.

Will see what happens for the next couple of fuel ups.
450 miles broken in already??? so I guess my mpg will not get any better...

First fill up on my 2012 Double Cab 4x4 TRD Offroad and I got 15.3/mpg. All my driving this first week has been city driving in Charlotte, NC. I drive like a Grampa, no stop light racing and trying to keep RPMs at 2K

For City driving that is about right. Could be even less mpg than that.

Winter gas is worse than summer gas. Soft on the gas helps greatly. It seemed to take 4-5000 to break in for m'

I have a 2012 TRD Offroad and my daily commute is 51% freeway (30 miles/day) and 49% stop & go (28 miles/day). When I keep speed below 60 mph on the freeway with a particular tank of gas, I've reached as high as 21.8 mpg. When doing the same at 70 mph on the freeway I've been in the 18 to 19 mpg range.

While tracking mileage, I try to fill up at the same gas pump and have been tracking mpg for the months of Jan, Feb, & March.

As of today the total miles on the truck is 4,730. No complaints with gas mileage so far! :D

ive noticed even with my 3" lift, tires, armor and etc.. I still get 17-18 mpg's on my 07. No idea why stock vehicles get less sometimes, even the newer ones

With my armor'd truck I'm in the range of 250-270 per tank. ( 17gal when the light comes on ) I got a scangauge to adjust my driving habits. I'm running lift/wheels/full armor. Commute is split between freeway/city, but there are a lot of hills in my area so that hurts mpg.
