Looking at the Leer 180 mid-rise topper. How bad is my hit to fuel economy when adding it?

Also, what is a reasonable price to pay?

I don’t think you’ll see any significant MPG drop. I didn’t when I put my cap on

    none
Probably none. Might even be better. I've had a cap on every truck I've owned since the 1970's and never noted any difference. I've had some that were even with the cab, some that were slightly higher. No difference.

My ARE shell seemed to actually improve MPG slightly. Definitely did not experience a drop in fuel economy.

I have the LEER 180 on the OR, can't say that I noticed any drop in MPG...

I didn't notice a drop in MPG's with the shell install, but I don't track my fuel usage down to the drop, either.
This Leer cost $3K with the options I selected: Windoors, removable slider, and roof rack rails.

I think mine was close to $3k as well with these options:
    -Windoors w/sliders
    -Removable front window
-Full carpeted headliner, shell sides, and bedliner
