Hey guys! New to the community.

My brother is checking out this Tacoma and he wanted some input from the community. This is a 2013 DCLB with 88k miles. What do you guys think of the rust? What are those random welds along the frames? Many thanks

Lol. Alright thanks I just wanted to be sure the exposed corrison on corner and random welds (thought it would be possible shady stuff dealership would pull off to cover something) isn't a concern. Thanks fellas! And stoked to be a part of this community. Will post pic of my truck sometime later

I you want to make yourself feel better have the frame coated in a product like fluid film or crown in fall every year to stop the rust where it is.

Looks pretty good IMO. I've seen salt-free 3rd Gen Taco's w/ that much rust.

If it really bugs you, you can always hit with some POR over the welds

I see chaffing welds. I’d be hitting the frame with a hammer near the leaf springs mounts and everywhere else for that matter

Looks like its already had the toyota frame treatement. You can see the covers from the C to boxed section and the wax product oozing out.

Its not bad, but I also have a 2013 with 120k miles and rust is 1/10th that (#socalthings)

Those heat shields look really clean in the the picture.
If you can, get the VIN# and go to Toyota’s website, then signup as a Toyota Owner (it’s free)
Enter the VIN# and see the service history Toyota has done to it.

It looks pretty good to me from what I can tell.

My advise is be cautious with this truck. There are ice and salt on the roads over this state during winter.

The rusted metal on one of the welds in your pictures is flaking off in chunks
