Going down the access highway today someone pulled out in front of me in the left lane which caused me to hit them.
    Luckily everyone’s okay

If anyone knows anything about body work could you tell me how bad this looks and if I should be worried about anything?

Looks like a flesh wound. How’s the hood?

Hood still opens and closes. Quarter panel obviously needs some work. Two tabs broke on the headlight but it still functions

Looks totaled. Can I have your wheels? ;)

Edit: joke of course. Glad everyone is okay and it doesn't look like there would be frame damage from that.

    Fatal.

Nah, one panel, probably the bumper too, plus repaint.

    Couple grand.

Man I hope not the bumper. You think they’ll replace the quarter panel or just pull everything together?

Tough to tell from the photo. I think I see a crease in there. At that point it's cheaper to swap the panel than try to iron it out. Panels are going to be the cheapest part of a small ding like this anyway. I bet the paint prep and matching will be the biggest expense.

I'd tap the fender out and buff and use touch-up paint on it after the insurance company pays you 3K for the damage. I doubt anyone would even notice and you can use the 3K to pay your higher insurance premiums or as compensation for the Carfax report when you trade it in.

Interesting I was not aware it worked like that. Why would they replace the bumper? Because tabs probably broke?

Good advise, as long as that crease will come out! Lol i was already planning to try to get a cash payout to take it to my paint guy. More money for mods!

Just get his or your insurance to take care of it. If you want they will write you a check and you can do whatever you want with it. Easy peasy

Have to take it apart. Bumper, light, fender liner, maybe even remove the fender. Apron could be damaged where the fender attaches. Doesn't look too bad from here. Also has the wheel alignment changed? Impact looks pretty close to the front tire.

Fender, fender flare, headlight, and probably bumper cover.

The only question is who will the insurance company find at fault?
