Just got off Georgia Pass and noticed this cut on my tire. What do you all think?

    I'd be concerned.

Got a feeler gauge or something thin you can gently slide in there to see how deep it is?

I think you'll be buying a new tire soon.

I had a slow leak that I couldn't find it turns out it was a slash like that and it only leaked when it was at the 6 o'clock position. I would check with soapy water and consider a new tire.

Check it out to see how deep it is/what it cut.

If not too deep. I would rotate it to the rear, monitor for a week or so, and then forget about it.

The tires don't look very old. If it's deep/cut something and the tires are newish/barely worn, I would buy one single tire. If the tires are medium age but evenly worn I would replace tires for just that axle.

Then again, now you have an excuse to spend a grand on 4 new tires.:kona:

I do have a full size spare but it worse than this but still holding air. Soapy water did not show any bubbles. I can barley fit my finger nail in it and it's already in the rear so I guess I'm risking it cause yes it's a new tire and I'm not made of cash.

I had tire places refuse to warranty replace a tire that looked like that, they felt as though it was safe to leave on the vehicle. If the slash is shallow enough that it doesnt compromise any of the reinforcing fabric I think it is ok. Just my opinion tho.

Just replace it, better safe than sorry. My wife had her tire blowout on the highway, we thought we could get away without an alignment on her lowered TSX, luckily no one got hurt.

No we're close to $1000 to get the car driving properly, repair the wheel, replace 2 tires, buy the camber kit and get the alignment done. Instead we could have avoided all of this if we bought the camber kit along with an alignment.

Are those load range "E"? If they have a heavy sidewall that's something to consider.
