Get a ball peen hammer and tap the crusty looking parts. Don’t go crazy, you might open up some nasty holes.

some suspicious spots on the frame that could be thin, but nothing obviously compromised

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
The real question is just where has the truck lived??

What kind of price?? The more perfect the Truck the higher the price.

Nothing that would stop a more detailed inspection and road test .

When one all ready has a few Toyota 4x4`s it is very easy to say the price is to high.

With the inflated prices today it all comes down to just How bad your Tacoma lust is.

Know going forward there are always areas of maintenance neglected

The frame will need constant attention going forward . Unless you move to a hot dry sunny area.

Best of Luck Moving forward no matter what you decide.

Pass on that price and condition. Low miles won't save the frame and other rusted parts.

Pictures never tell the whole story.

You need an in person with a ball peen, probe, and a scope camera to look in the rails. (phone attachements under $20 is fine)

Remember rust works inside out as well as outside in.

Anything in the salt belt needs to either have been protected well from day one or garaged in the winter. Otherwise, poof, frame vanishes.
