1999 Tacoma Reg. Cab Short Bed 2WD 5spd
I recently bought a 99' Tacoma base model (reg cab/short bed/2wd/2.4L 4cyl). The wheels and tires (195/75/r14) it came with are very small and look bad in my opinion.

I found a photo of a nice Tacoma that I'd like to try and mimic. However, it looks like it may have been lifted. I'm still very new to Tacomas/truck suspension. Does this truck have a different trim/package than the base model? The bed looks a little longer than mine but I can't tell for sure.

Also, why are the leaf springs inverted? Mine bow downwards and these look like they're upwards.

I think I just need wheels/tires and possibly a lift kit and wheel spacers.
Does anyone know/have a rough guess on the specs of the wheels/tires/lift (if it has one) on this truck?
    Thanks

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You have a 5 lug Tacoma, they share the body of a 6 lug Tacoma (4wd and prerunner models) but with less fender flare. The suspension, frame and axle are totally different though. The one in your picture is 100% stock, but it's a stock 4WD (6 lug) model. The 5 lug models were supposed to be ultra light duty trucks, they came with obviously 5 lug axles and wheels, 2wd only, car tires, 95% were 4cylinder and their suspension in the rear was spring under axle rather than the 6 lug models which were spring over axle. The front suspension is 100% different as well. The 6 lugs look lifted compared to a 5 lug because they just sit taller from the factory being 4WD trucks with heavier suspension. Please ty of folks here with 5 lugs though, and you can lift them too, there's just not as much info on it. I think Miguel @Sperrunner has a thread on lifted 5 lugs.

That looks like a stock suspension on either a 98-00 4x4 or PreRunner which had a different frame and suspension from the 5-lug 2wd which it sounds like you have. Those ones ran 215/70R14 stock (at least that what my 97 5-lug had), whereas the 4wd/PreRunner for those years ran 225/75R15.
