so far i've decided to go with a cat-back exhaust, upgraded cold air intake, and a 3" lift, any other suggestions?

Stay away from spacers. Spend money on the lift, don't go cheapo, because suspension is one of those things where you really, really, absolutely get what you pay for. Go to wheelersoffroad.com and check their kits out. One place you could skimp is by using AALs (add-a-leaf) in the rear, you can get almost 3" out of those. But I say throw down for the front end, you can really improve both handling and ride quality while lifting. Lots of folks go with OME 881 coils and NitroCharger struts. Toytec also offers a kit with pre-assembled coilovers, which is another issue. If you get your front shocks/coils separate, you will have to pay for them to be assembled or rent a spring compressor. Just order them assembled, them coils is DAN-GER-OUS if you don't do it right.

For 3" lift, you will also want to include a differential drop kit for the front end and an extended rear brake line. Kits will comes with that stuff. Spend about $1500 and you can do it up nice with new leaf packs in the rear.

Do you have some hot women that will ride around with you? That's a real cheap way to make yourself feel even better about your truck.

This part makes no sense, do you have links to these

AAL - add a leaf, leafs dont use coilovers... a your truck doesn't have struts, it has coilover shocks up front, leaf pack in the rear, so saying your looking at an aal w/ coilover shocks to me means you want an AAL in the back and coilovers up front, if so, post a link for the coilovers. The strut makes no sense on a Tacoma.

Welcome to TW. Home of assholes and shenanigans. Its a great place.

As far as your question, go through the forum. there is plenty of information as far as lifts/power/mpg. for lift i would recommend just some Old Man Emu (OME) coils with some Bilstien 5100 shocks (billies). That is about your cheapest yet not useless front end option. for the rear an Add A Leaf (AAL) will give you 2-2.5". Or you can get a new leaf pack but unless you are going to do any offroading the AAL will be just fine.

Or if you want to do some offroading you can buy a whole coilover for the front. I have Sway-AWay (SAW) coilovers but there are plenty of good companies. There are also lots of options for the rear. I wont go into that because you should do some research and learning if you want to get into the offroad world.

Powerwise, pretty much your best option is the TRD Supercharger (SC). It will cost a pretty penny though and it can be difficult to install. a much cheaper option is to do the deck plate mod. There is debate to whether this helps at all. i think it does based on my 1mpg increase.

But in all seriousness, just look around the site a bit and find what you are looking for. Also, try not to get butthurt.

Really just read up about your truck on here. You'll find a lot of stuff you can do, with great write-ups on how to do it. I planned on keeping my 2011 stock for the most part, those plans are long gone thanks to TW.
