Below are the spec + price for a '17 tacoma that I am looking at. I already did some haggling over emails but I think I still can do better in terms of price. Please let me know if there is more that I can do because I am sure that they want to get rid of this truck to make room for the '18's. Thank you in advance.

Truck: 2017 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Off-road Double Cab V6 Automatic
    Base price: $34,900
Add ons: V6 tow package ($700), All weather mats ($300) and Toyoguard Platinum ($700)

    Asking price: $36,600
    Sale Price: $32,000
    Dealer fee: $1000
    taxes: $1,300
    Tags: $200
Total OTD pricing with all discounts: $34,500

Really a good price. Not sure if you can get lower but always worth a shot.

If I could have gotten a price like that there would be a Tacoma in my driveway right now.
I walked away because they kept showing me trucks with b.s. add ons I didnt want. I literally left the dealership over the price of the LED bed light, I wasn't going to pay full MSRP on that option because I dont need it, and they would not even drop it to invoice price, so I left.

Get rid of the all weather mats and buy weather techs or huskys.

Tell them your not paying the dealer fee, they will give you a line about how "we have to charge it". At that point tell them "ok just take the thousand off the price instead." It worked for me on my last purchase.

Great price, so you may not be able to negotiate lower. But maybe tell them to throw in some parts in gratis. Such as a TRD Pro grille and/or bed mat, etc.

Last Wednesday I was able to get a blazing blue pearl offroad with tow package, mats and mudguard for 34,300. I tried to get the hardcover for free but the general manager woudnt budge. I called another dealership and the sales manager specifically told me that if "they gave you 34,300 you better take it before someone else takes the deal". I thought that was fair so I purchased the truck. So far no regrets, this is my first new vehicle, new truck so I am extremely happy! Love the look of the 3rd gen tacoma.

That actually sounds pretty good. I'd do it if it's the truck you want.

The only fees I paid was for the dealership to register my vehicle at the DMV and the for the NY state inspection. to me that was worth $200. I also paid sales tax which is a standard in all states. 34,300 + NY sales tax + 200 Motor Vehicle fees.

seems like a good price. I guess if you don't really want it that bad/it's not a must have then keep haggling?

if it's a must have, pull the trigger before someone else takes it?

Why is there a second dealer fee for 1000? I’d prob pass on that... otherwise, it seems like a good deal.

That's what I paid for my 17 trd or auto last December. Mine had tube step bars and no platinum or mats. My msrp was slightly higher though. I'd jump all over this, it's a good price.

OTD price will vary with location due to different taxes.
