Just found out about the whole frame rust thing when went to replace the muffler
    At 175,200 miles.
Toyota service claims missed warranty recall ...that I never knew existed
    Therefore, they will not cover
Anyone else had this problem and found a way to get Toyota to fix it

Welcome aboard. Sorry to tell you the 15 year extended warranty for rust through on your 2000 expired 3 years ago.

I was just wanting to see if anyone was aware of anything Toyota may have done to appease owners who have the older vehicles

If I remember right, a 2000 would have been bought back and crushed.

Maybe they'll crush it for you for free?

Given the media exposure and mailers that Toyota sent out

It sucks but they've done what they can do to notify people

If you just purchased it and didnt know about it...that's not Toyota's fault

You're not gonna win that legal battle with Toyota I cant imagine

    Welcome to TW.

No offense, but your truck is 19 years old... Dont think you'll have much traction at all with Toyota corporate

They won't. Toyota never replaced frames on 2000s. Only 2001 - 2004 Tacomas and even 2004s are no longer eligible after 2019

2000 year Tacomas were part of the KBB buyback program and that ended several years ago

Depending on the extent of rust damage your Tacoma may be repairable. Take some pix of the frame and add them here. Many here have done rust repairs and are still on the road.

This. Some folks cut and weld reinforcement plates to the frame for extra strength off-road. Post some pictures and we can advise.
