Its crazy the difference driving 65mph versus 75-80mph makes. It takes too much effort to ignore all the people passing me at 65mph so I just hope the gas price settles down.

Speed most definitely affects this truck! I've got a stretch of interstate that has a speed limit of 70mph, so everyone is doing 75-85. When it's busy and the flow is reduced, I get several mpg more.

Yup the speed limit is 70 for most of Maine. That plus hills really kills the MPG.

Yeah, but we got the woodgrain trim bit out of it. That was worth it for me, anyway.

That would work, along with losing weight.

Same. Doing the math helps me. The difference between 65 and 75 isn't as huge as it feels. For every 250 miles or 3.5 hours, it takes just 30 minutes longer at 65. Mark it down to 20-ish if you start tracking the differences in required fuel stops.

For my daily 10-15 mile commute, the difference between those speeds is so small that I would have been caught at the same red light at the offramp regardless. I did a little statistical average once. I did 2 weeks (10 samples) of timing my drive to work with my old habits of scorched ape out of hell, pedal to the metal style. Then I followed it with 2 more weeks of granny driving, 60mph maximum limit. My commute is 2 traffic lights, 7 miles of freeway, and then 2 more traffic lights. The average difference between the two was 25 seconds. Only because the scorched ape caught three more green lights than the granny over a two week period. That was the kick in the pants that I needed to change up my driving habits. I'd rather sacrifice my 25 seconds for the benefit of not being hopped up on road rage when I get to work. The savings in fuel was a sweet bonus on top of that.

19 is great for the Tundra! Even when I was stock height I got 15 max. Lifted with 35s dropped me down to 10.

I usually average 14-15 on the interstate, but I’ve got a AT Habitat on the back and it acts like a parachute at faster speeds

I can imagine. Mine had a lot of added weight as well (bumpers, topper, etc). Alas that’s why I’ve transition to a Tacoma.

I was giving recommendations based on the ask.

I run gears with OVtune and easily accomplish 17-21mpgs with 32’s, lifted and armor...not to mention way more power and driveability.

    Thanks bud.

Yea I’m consistently getting higher MPG on all my tuned trucks. Idk if you’re able to tune yourself or if you’d need to find a local tuner
