Your fine then. I have a prerunner with a 4" lift and I've never needed 4wd to climb curbs or parking medians. I've even gone through pretty deep mud without getting stuck. You just have to keep your foot in it a little.

Anyone that says "it's stupid to buy a truck without 4wd" or "a 2wd truck is not a real truck" is just ignorant.

Sadly there is like only 2 of those things... They self deflate and inflate tires

No. It was a conversation starter. Not a fact finding mission. I could care less. I bought the truck that suits my needs.
Just curious to know what everyone elses thoughts were on the subject.

    Your sarcasm is hilarious.

I don't know if you have noticed, but the search bar is nothing short of atrocious. And, what does post count have to do with anything? Is that something that matters? LOL

    And the sarcasm continues.

I was interested in conversing on the subject, not just reading old threads. It's called engagement. Engaging others in conversation with the intention to learn from other ideas, points of view, and perspectives.

Now i'm sure you know what you can do with your tools...

    Thank you!

Regardless of who makes them or drives them, I'd say it's a pretty awesome vehicle. Although that price though.....

My prerunner has done fairly decent for the few times I've had her on trails, although carrying speed and knowing the limits of my truck have been the most important keys to that. That along with good Mud tires.

However, @T4C0CH40S is a prime example of a capable prerunner. You can't look through his thread and say that a prerunner is useless offroad.

I heard by some people that pre runner with long travel and good tires will get you even farther, then just a lift on the truck.

Now they are FAR different vehicles but most of the Trophy trucks, and racers in the Dakar are only 2wd. They seem to do pretty good in the sand and other obstacles they face.

I'm new to off-loading, so I'm just taking in what I have heard from people, and what I have read. I been doing a bunch of reading lately because i have a pre-runner and seeing what I can do to make my truck more capable for for rugged trails.

When you guys mention obstacles, what kind of terrains are you guys describing?

    okay, thanks for the info.

Every time I have to go up a steep hill i usually just put it in 1st or 2nd(Automatic) with my rear diff locked and slowly go up.

tire wise, are my tires pretty good for the more rugged trails? I read on here that everyone recommends it, but it doesn't go good with mud.
