Recently picked up this 2021 Tacoma OR MT with 25k miles on it. Noticed this rust underneath today. How can it be mitigated/ how concerned should I be?

Nothing is on a critical part.

The CB bracket seems a bit much for as young as it is, but again, those are not important bits. Everything else looks normal.

If I were to buy it, I'd give it a thorough cleaning and coating and then not worry about it.

get it sprayed yearly and run the hell out of it. It's not terrible,, not for a truck from an area that loves to hate their roads and vehicles anyways.

    You don't specify your location.

In Michigan, that's factory fresh, rust free.

In Arizona, that truck is beyond dead. You're driving a corpse of a truck. somehow.

I live in Michigan and can confirm this. The rock salt was bad enough, the "pre treat" shit they spray now combined with rock salt is insanely corrosive.
If you have a vehicle you like and want to keep you just plain don't drive it in the winter here.

CB bearing holder and leaf spring are just surface rust. clean and spray some rust paint wouldn't hurt but I doubt it matters much. Both replaceable when time comes.

My exhaust looks like that an exhaust shop said as long as it doesn't leak don't touch it an nothing will happen. But at some point the whole sections need replaced but nothing to worry about as others have stated.

Damn...my 2018 still looks new underneath, and it's spent many miles on the beach.

I do avoid the wet sand thou.
