I was at a night club in San Antonio with a few guys from the unit and when Joann walked by the first time my jaw dropped...my buddy spent a chunk of the evening pushing us together. She originally thought I was someone else.

I ran the deployments for our unit and processed one of the guys that was there that night out for 4-5 months the next day...when he came back he asked "Hey Sully, what happened to that chick you met at the club?" ...I showed him my ring...

Never proposed...we both knew we were getting hitched after about two weeks...I just showed up with a ring one day while she was out cleaning her truck...didn't say anything...just gave it to her...

Married less than 4 months after we met...we're a month into year 24 now...3 Boys...life is good...

Background......I met my wife when I played hockey with her older brother. At the time I was 14 and she was 11 and naturally didn't give her a second look. Fast forward to high school and she arrives when I was a Senior and I'm like......."Holy shit, that's Scott's little sister?". I had a girlfriend and she had a boyfriend but we started hanging out in the same groups and I always had a huge crush on her. The summer she graduated I got wind that she had broken up with her boyfriend and I was on her like a dirty shirt. We dated all that summer but broke up for a couple of years while she went away to University and I sowed some serious oats. We got back together in '92 and the rest is history. In November of '95 I went to her Dad's office and asked him for her hand and blessing. While the two of us were alone on Christmas eve I asked her to make me the happiest man in the world......And she has. :)

My wife performs in plays. So I wanted to do something special in her love of acting. She did the play Mame in Feb. I was going to have the director add me to the end of the play on the last day, where I would come out on stage & propose. But her son was in the hospital for a liver transplant while she was doing the play. I figured this was not the best time. She was overwhelmed. So I waited a couple of months. And did this:
Medievel Times (this was my only venue that is close to her love of acting). I had her 2 kids there along with my son.

Engagement Package we do something similar to a Knighting ceremony. With a Knighting ceremony, about 30-45 minutes prior to the show, the king calls someone up, has them kneel, and Knights them in to the realm with his sword. For the Engagement Package, the King will call you up and have you kneel, but at this point the King will grant you one wish. You are already
kneeling, so you would then make the proposal. They put her in a chair to my left, the crowd was on the right.

They held the microphone up, so my proposal is carried through the whole facility.
I did my proposal in medievel times lingo. When I started my proposal, all the women in the crowd of a few hundred went "Awe!"

When I pulled the ring from my pocket. The whole crowd went wild!

Lisa had no idea & was completely blown away. And she said yes. We were married July 3rd on the beach.

Met at the post office. (It was a SPECIAL delivery) :D

Dated 3 yrs then asked her to marry me in her parents driveway while we sat facing each other on my motorcycle. Went inside and announced it to her parents (I'd already talked to them about it!)

PAWN SHOP wedding ring...$80...IT'S what SHE wanted!!! It's a beautiful heirloom piece...don't see them like that one anymore.

Married outside on a mountain top.

Honeymooned on a houseboat on Lake Powell.

Married 11 yrs and it keeps getting better.

    Life is SWEET!

We were co-workers @ Garcia's in Chandler(closed down now) and became really good friends first before we started dating.

After 3 years I proposed at Laguna Beach and spent the rest of the trip @ Disneyland. After she finished school we got married last April. Been together over 7 years so we had a really long test drive.

    I gave her options:

In one hand, I held the ring.

In the other hand, a shovel and bag of lye.

Thankfully she made the right choice.

I met my wife in high school as we both missed the bus (the same one) one day and ended up dating for ten years before we actually got married. Since we waited so long I tried to do it big. We had a trip planned to Kauai and I called/emailed the staff before hand to set everything up. They had candles, rose pedals, and wine/fruits on the bed everywhere. They did any awesome job (especially since they only charged like 50 bucs for it). When we got there I descretely handed off a CD with a song I wanted playing on it to the lady who went to the room to start it on loop. When we walked in and I dropped down on one knee when we made it to the bedroom with roses and what-not in it. I had reservations that night at 8 but forgot that due to the time change we would feel like 2am  so we were about to starve and almost fell asleep at dinner. Oh well, it turned out pretty good I thought. Been married a year next month and still love her to death.

She had started a new position for work and had to travel.
When she got back I had gotten her a small ring and a couple of cow figures. (She loves Holstein Cows). I wrote in the lid of one of them Will You Marry Me and had the ring on the leg. I was on one knee. Took a few minutes to answer. That is when I became nervous. Then a few years later when we had the rings cleaned I had the diamond up graded and it took her a minute to figure out what was different.
almost 12 years later still together. No kids (tried didn't workout) But we have 2 big dogs several adopted nieces and nephews and one real nephew and one real niece.

    of course
Took her to New Hampshire for a "romantic getaway". We played a game of chess, she won(only time she beat me). Her prize was a ring. She said yes, married just under 12 years.
