How did you decide on a color for your 3rd gen?

it was the only manual in So Cal at the time so I got quicksand. I love it now after going offroading. matches the dirt.

 

I can see where that could be a nightmare for Law Enforcement!!?

 

I own a 2016 4Runner trail in magnetic gray so my 2017 DCLB OR had to be the same. If the dealer had not found this color with my options ,white would have been the next choice.

Pure utility. I drive 3 miles of dirt every day. Metallics look crappy when dirty. White is forgiving with dirt and easy to touch up.

I wear beige all day at work and hate it so QS was not an option for me. White it is.

How did you decide on a color for your 3rd gen?


I taped a grid on a sheet of plywood and wrote a color in each grid. Then I laid the plywood under a tree then kicked back with a cold glass of sweet tea waiting for a bird to shit on the grid. A bird shit on the grid with the color black wrote in it and that is how I picked what color Tacoma to buy.

But he would have told him that no matter what color he picked it would be a gutless, underpowered, problematic diff howling POS
And then he would have reconsidered purchasing 3rd gen at all, waiting to get all the awesomeness of the new ranger..and started multiple threads over there about which color to get. Ridding us of the redundant posts once and for all.

question, would I be a dick for liking this comment? On a serious note do you make all these same threads just so you can get you post cred up faster? Or are you really that confused about the color? What happens when you decide and you think of something someone else said later and want to switch colors again?

 

Wanted a color that people dislike the most.

It went something like this:

Me: "I love this truck (TRD OR), but the moonroof doesn't give me enough headroom."

Sales: "We have a manual TRD Pro on order for the showroom. They don't come with a moonroof."

Me: "Great, call me the second it's unloaded and I'll come buy it while you do PDI"

Sales:"Ok. Do you like the Super White?"

Me:"Sure."

 

Chose white because I drive through a lot of bushes during hunting season. Glad I did!
