How did you decide on a color for your 3rd gen?

I wanted a deep burgandy color like pretty much EVERY OTHER COMPANY BESIDES TOYOTA offers on trucks. Barcelona Red was as close as I could get without going to a Colorado or Canyon.

It’s grown on me over time, but I still see other truck brands in the Burgandy and think my truck would look slick in that color.

 

Wouldn't it be hilarious if OP is actually color blind

 

IMO silver looked best on the trucks and Baja pinstripes show up less and didn’t really want another white truck,i had 04 z71 (junk)

 

Super white was the only 6MT on the lot so it made it a pretty simple decision.

 

MGM had the least wait time out of the colors I wanted. (White, MGM, Black) MGM was a 2 week wait to Hawaii, White was over a month and I ended up canx the Black... to many swirl marks.

Also OP, are you still cross shopping for a WRX?

 

Went with super white for a couple of reasons:

- Looks good even with stock tires and would look good with black rims
- Easy to keep clean
- Best exterior color to keep the interior cool temperature wise.

 

OP, are you noticing a trend here? People always want to help a TW brother out, but you are taking advantage of that by posting the same shit over and over. And the attacking and name calling isn't going to help. Start a new thread when you do make up your mind and buy a truck, and I think you will get a better responses. But if you keep up this nonsense you are gonna burn bridges.

 

But we still don't know what color Tacoma you decided on....

Me too.

Not flashy, brighter than the brown Tundra I had, and black offsets with it nice

 

My thoughts. Can be low profile or stand out with black accents.

Plus it was the only one I couldn’t find a complaint with.

White: work truck
Red: afraid I’d get tired of
Cement: looked like primer
MGM: everyone has it
Quicksand: Girlfriend said it looked like baby poop

So nothing flashy

 

For me was pretty simple....Only Toyota truck at the Acura dealer....win& win for me!!

BBP was a bonus.

 

For me, I love silver and it hides dirt well. Plus the contrast of black and silver makes me feel like a badass!!! Lol! JK. Love the contrast and possibilities though. Plenty other good colors, but silver for me.

 

These are my opinions of course and I don't any color is superior to another as it's all personal. But, I had a black car before, shows too much unless you get a good clean and wax every week. White shows dust and turns the white dull. However the problem is, I do like both colors. Halfway house MGM. Always needs to be washed and you can always see when its dirty!
