What’s the attractiveness of a manual vs. an auto? Off road capability or the shit auto they put in the 3rds

I have heated seats because I have the Premium and Tech Package, but I should have just spent the extra money to go ahead and get the JBL too.

It’s just a truck. I never looked at the color as if I were going to marry the truck. Having said this, I went with quicksand. Military veteran. Takes me back to my days in the sand.

    1) you edited your post after the fact

    2) I didn't resort to name calling. I'd appreciate if you didn't either

    3) you have a lengthy track record of making multiple posts on the same topic, and this appears to be another example of the same. I'm sorry if you thought my reaction was uncalled for, but when people take the time to give you advice/ input and you just make another thread on the same thing later, it kinda rubs folks the wrong way.

I was attracted to the inherent old school feel of driving a stick truck, as I always wanted my high school truck to be a stick and it wasn't, and driving other stick vehicles was more fun to me.

Offroad it's genuinely less capable than the auto trucks, especially in the TRD OR, but that didn't really bother me, as I don't plan on going and doing extreme stuff that would really show the difference. I didn't find out about the auto issues until I found the forum.

This got out of hand quickly. But seriously, take at all the threads that OP has started in the last year that are all identical! I can't wait until he finally buys it so we can all look forward to 400,000 threads about what tire/lift/wheels/OBA he should buy.

I wanted a color with "lasting power". What I mean is that, although I love the tacos in inferno red, calvary blue, cement, etc., these are colors that are popular today. 5 years from now, they may not and it will "date" the truck. For example, my first car was a Honda Accord coupe in Hampshire green. Man was that color all the rage. About 5 years later, not so much. And the car stood out like a sore thumb and looked "old".

I hate blue cars/trucks. Always have. They just look cheap to me. Again, IMO!!! Don't take it personal if you have a blue taco.

So now we have white and black cars. I like the white tacos but they remind me too much of a work truck. So white was out for me. Black... oh do I love a nicely polished, waxed and sealed black vehicle. Really nothing like it. But 10 minutes later and it looks like crap. I had a black Pathfinder and it drove me crazy. So black was out. Where does that leave me.... Silver or Gray.

The car I moved from was silver so I sort of wanted a change. I ended up with Magnetic Gray. I think Silver and Magnetic Gray are the most versatile colors. They look slick. You can get them all shined up and they look that way for a good time (silver more than gray). They appeal to most people. And there has always been and always will be silver and gray vehicles.

Again guys. Just my personal taste and opinions here. Don't get your panties all wadded up because I may have "insulted" your color choice. In all reality, I have yet to see a taco I don't like. But for my own, I chose Magnetic Gray. YAY!
