Yup. Drove my first Toyota 4X4 in 1980. Old Toyota guy was just a self evident identification. A no brainer, even. Not too many of us old timers on here, but a few.

This seems like a great way to give away your identity and secrets to the internet.

With that being said, I live in southern Canada (North Dakota, home of the Badlands). And, I have an affinity for tacos both eaten and driven.

Jeez this is gonna be a long winded one... OK so there is a video game series in Japan called "Touhou," and it is one of those galaga-style top down shooter games.

Only thing is, it is INSANELY difficult because every character fires about a million magic bullets in these dazzling hard to avoid patterns:

So the object of the game is to frantically dodge and weave and find a safe way to pilot through these spells while still shooting your target.
The spell pictured is actually pretty easy, it is just designed to look overwhelming. There are other spells that will home in on you, stop and change directions, and so on. It gets really intense.

Anyways, there is a character in this game series who is named Nitori. I won't get bogged down to deep in the lore, but she's always taking apart mechanical things that she finds and tinkering with them, and has a big backpack full of tools and contraptions.

Of course, I also love taking shit apart and messing with it, so one day a friend of mine who is familiar with the series said something along the lines of "oh, you sound a lot like Nitori!"

I'm absolutely terrible at coming up with good user names and have no imagination, so this just stuck with me, even though I realize I've basically named myself after an anime girl.

Smokey & the Bandit was my favourite movie as a kid and Snowman is the best character. Always wanted a Bandit Trans-Am (Still do!!) and a dog named Fred.
Been the Snowman on every site since I started on forums 16+ years ago. Have to get in early because it's a popular username!

Tried so many names that were already taken, so I'm not sure what I did there.

    Brand new so nothing yet.
When I was a kid I used to race go karts and sprint cars and my number was 48 so I have always used that, and about 3 years ago I bought my sailboat, her name is Kinsail. She was named by her previous owner. It’s named after a town in Ireland, Kinsale. He changed the sale to sail for obvious reasons, and kin means family. So the name is “Family Sail”. I kept the name for two reasons. 1. It’s bad juju to change the name of a boat and 2. About two weeks after I bought the boat and a week before it was hauled for me to pick it up my mother passed away suddenly. I felt it very appropriate to keep the name. Sorry for the rambling but just really like talking about it lol.
