Hey all, I took my dashcam game a step further when I bought the VIOFO A139 3CH and also the hardwire kit with an Add a Fuse.

I got it all installed but had a question about the add a fuse wire.
What determines the direction of the add a fuse wire overhang?
For example, in this thread, the two photos show the wires go off, away from the OBD port. Mine is toward the port.. if I flip them the cam turns on with the truck, but off completely when the truck is off (parking mode on the cam was turned on.)
In almost all the videos and pics I've seen, most of them the wires hang off to the left

    What am I missing?

With the ones I bought, I had to use a meter to determine the hot terminal in the original receptical and the fused side in the add a fuse. If I plugged it in wrong, it wouldn't be using the fuse, just be hot all the time. If yours doesn't have directions (like mine didn't) check things out with a meter.

Is there any fuse in the cab fuse panel that's always hot and safe to tap? I have a switch panel off the open sunroof one, but the two I have now are ignition triggered. Hoping it's as easy as swapping to a different fuse to set it up for parking mode.
