when i was figuring out what vehicle i wanted i love imports and wanted a truck. In a province with a abundant amount of 12" jacked up f150's i knew i didnt want to fall in that croud. Naturaly my reaserch brought me here to hear about peoples experiences with the truck and a nice indication exactly what it could do , the Topgear epesode of them beating the shit out of a hilux was also a good sway into the right direction

    To join the crowd!

I got in a hella bad wreck, ended up getting a really good deal on the Tacoma, and while recouperating and going through rehab, I first noticed that, while the the component speakers in the doors sounded really nice, there was a distinct lack of low end in the stereo.

Some slow and careful looking around led me to the conclusion that....*boggle* there's no farkin rear speakers? You gotta be SHITTIN me!

A wee bit o' Googling and viola, I end up here and poring over the thread I'm sure you already know by heart. After that, no way I was leaving any time soon. Well, after going to get some new speakers, and some wood to fashion some boxes, that is...

I was trying to find out WTF a Texas Edition Tacoma was and stumbled across this site. I liked the tone of the posts and the information much better than toyota nation that I stayed.
Thanks TCBOB and whoever else is responsible for the site!
