I like the Rhino Rack bars and the smooth finish on the Ridgelander.

Sure is. I saw it on an f150 in the weathertech showroom. After seeing it in person I knew it would be my next cover. Got the Lomax version cause it was cheaper. I paid the same.

Received and installed the Tyger T5 today.
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VGZV2RW?ref=ppx_pt2_tab_b_prod_image

So far I’m impressed. It was packaged very well, the parts seem well made. It’s rounded on the back which I prefer to squared back with the rounded contours of the back of the bed. It seems very well made including all of the hardware.

I just glanced at the instructions which were lacking and I can see a LOT of potential for “user error” in installation as a result. For example, sliding bedrail clamps should be positioned and set screws tightened so they are at the top of the bedrail reducing potential for play and rattling loose. Clamps should be tightened a little on each side so as not to torque the cover in a direction then the other direction etc.
Install seemed like common sense to me, but I could see a lot of potential issues with installation and use by people who may not be mechanically savvy. The instructions are pretty much a few pictures on a piece of paper and they are not on par with the initial quality of the cover by any stretch of the imagination. It did come with a big extra section of weather strip which I have not used yet, I wanted to install it first, evenly, then see where problem areas are. However, the weatherstrip on the top was not hard as another’s poster suggested. It is flexible and seems high quality. Maybe mine is a new production run, no idea it is a new to market product. I looked at a coworkers backflip rolling cover today (2nd gen taco) and this seems similar quality to that, although his is several years old and has some issues with the latch I just mean rigidity etc. I think this can support 300 lbs on top (evenly spaced) and has a 5 year warranty.

I’ll probably do a review on Amazon after I actually use it then either copy that over here or link to it as there are no reviews of this product yet. It’s going to rain from Friday through Sunday so I’ll wait and see how it does before a real review and I’d like to see how it handles wind etc. I didn’t take pics yet because I went right into installing my aluminum nerf bars, lost about a pint of blood to mosquitos by the time I was done

I’m taking my motorcycle to work tomorrow cause it’s going to be nice out. Taco is at about 150 miles as of today, frame has not rusted out yet....

LOVE my truxedo roll up. $300. Keeps 99% of water out. Rolls all the way to the cab so I get 100% of my bed (I have dirt bikes).

I just installed mine last night (see above pic). Install took 30 minutes and was easy. The 2 fold system works great and detaching it was easy after getting it installed. The finish and quality seem to be there. Everything was complete with no unfinished edges or other areas of poor quality. The Instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Overall i am impressed and happy i went with the Gator VS the MX4.

Big fan of the Bakflip MX4 and its low profile look and ability to keep out more of the water except around the sides of tailgate.

Have the same unit. The Genesis Elite model features a high-end cover material, made by the Haartz Co. of Massachusetts. It is the same material used ,world-wide, for convertible tops on premium cars. Very nice.
    Also available on Amazon.

Pro tip: There are only a few magical combos that allow you to still access your entire bed while using a rack system and RTT. My solution combines the Mobtown Low-rise Bed Bars with the TruXedo TruXport roll-up cover, and they each work perfectly together.

Hello All, I am interested in getting a Truxedo Truxport. I have had one in the past an it treated me good. Right up to the point that a branch broke off a tree and like an arrow from Robins bow went right threw the cover, lol Where are you guys getting them from ? and is there anything new on the market that is worth looking at that is a roll up ? Thank you for any comments/help/suggestions.

That is identical to the Tyger T5 I just got. I noticed on Amazon there are some others that are the same as ours as well as the ones without double backed panels similar to what wheathertech sells. Likely all made in the same factory and rebranded for the various distributors.

Your neighborhood looks like it was transplanted from the Truman Show. Nice bed cover also.
