Sorry, I know it's not a nice thing to say of a car you own, but I am thinking of down the road and problems that will likely come up. Also, work your boss down, I bet if you offered a little less, he might go for it.

I wish I could get a dealer to give me the low end of kbb for my trade they all offer nada which is $2500 less. I think he's maybe making up some money by offering u to for low kbb or maybe dealers are more generous in your area I'm in Massachusetts (unfortunately).

good point. If the resale price differential is close to the kbb differential, then it would be worth it.

I would just let her keep the car that’s crapping out if she’s not willing to listen to some logic on why the other car would benefit her. Then probably just look for something newer and test drive a lot of other cars and sell her on warranty and peace of mind with something newer. A better deal will come up, this won’t be the only opportunity.

Camrys are nice cars, I don't really want to drive one. Cab drivers like Camrys, buy it and sell it to a cab driver for more than you paid.

 

If anyone ever figures out how to convince their wife to do something or agree to something you really want and they don’t please write book. We need this written to pass down generation to generation. Please.

 

From a guy that has been married 41 years...."whatever you want dear" is usually a good response. If the Dodge blows up...so be it. If you lean on her to buy and drive the Camry and she hates it.....well, you know how that is going to go.
