Searched through the forum and most suggest changing it in settings with entune, I do not have entune, or APP customization options through my head unit, and when I try to sign up it only gives me an error, maybe because I canceled the SOS feature?

Anyways, is there any definitive method outside those options to remove the beep when locking/unlocking. I get home late and already have to slam the door to close it, and the beep is really loud following that.

    2021 sr, thanks.

    On Entune 2.0 it's: Apps>settings>vehicle

There should be 3 menus displayed. One is for lights, one for door locks and one more that I can't remember. This is all going by memory from the last time I played with that stuff, so I might be off on nomenclature but generally it's the idea.

I could be wrong, but I thought that the beep settings were in techstream.

Or if you dont have tech stream, you could find the physical beeper and muffle it.

"entune" is essentially the operating system of your truck's stereo.

Turn your truck to ACC so your stereo/infotainment screen fully loads. Then follow @GrundleJuice's instructions.

Pretty sure you can also cancel the hazzard lights flashing upon lock/unlock.

Yes, it is in settings. I am not sure if you can disable it or not, but I DO know that you can TURN DOWN THE VOLUME of the beep there. I did that myself, as it can get a little annoying say, when you start the truck to warm it up, and get out to wipe the windshield down, etc, and as soon as you get out, you get three beeps. Annoying! But at least with the volume turned down, it isn't so bad...

You could just unplug the beeper. In the engine compartment, driver side, at least on TRD Sports.

On a similar note. On my '19 I use to be able to hit lock and if the doors weren't all closed it would just lock and beep once all the doors closed. Now on my '21 with keyless entry (I didn't have that on the '19) if I wipe to lock on the handle and the passenger hasn't closed their door yet, the damned thing lets out the most annoying long tone and then doesn't lock after the door is closed. I wish it worked the same. Also the tone it makes if I leave the truck running and get out is super annoying. QUIT BEEPING AT ME!!

I read that as he does not have Entune with app customization instead of not having Entune at all. I should say that I didn't know there was any factory head unit that was without Entune since 2015.

There are beep settings in techstream, as lobster mentioned.

You cannot adjust the beep volume on the SR trim level. I placed a foam hearing protection ear plug into the beeper hole that is behind the grill. I adjusted the plug to where I can hear the beep just enough to know I have locked or unlocked the door. Depending on how deep you squeeze in the earplug you can get the beep down to where it can hardly be heard at all.

On my 2019 Sport, it was easy to do in the head unit. You should be able to do it on yours? If not see the Feelers thread. Someone local could do it easily in TechStream typically for free.

Here are all of the customizations in the 2020 and up, as shown in TechStream:

Figured it out. It's under menu/settings. On the left the list ends on voice, but I didn't notice you could scroll further, right under is vehicle, then vehicle customization, door lock settings. I turned the volume to 0.The manual doesn't explain this from what I could find, it mentions doing it through "apps". Thanks for the suggestions.

The owners manual absolutely sucks in some areas. The TRAC modes explanations blow also.

Good stuff though. Enjoy the silence!
