How many miles to the gallon are you all getting out of you v6? My brother has one and he said he only gets about 13-14. I know it says around 20, but I wasn't sure.

1st gen V6s should be getting between 18-21 MPG.

not to many, love it the way it is

automatic 09 pre runner v6 access cab here - my best yet was 24 mpg on a trip from NC to PA through plenty of mountains with 300 extra pounds in the bed and a passenger, A/C on - some 55 mph but 80 on the main highway. I average 20 mpg overall.

edit, premium gas only on every tank ( I get about 1 to 1.5 mpg better on premium than 87 ) and synthetic oil since my 5k first oil change, 8k on the truck now...

To the OP, what mpg do you average on the 4 cyl?

I have an 08 access cab 4 banger, and i think i only get maybe 20-22 at the most. I think it might be my driving habbits though is why i don't get as much as i should. It is a 5 speed standard.

    Shit,

I never gotten great mpg from my Taco. I recently took my Taco to Vegas. I had 5 guys and a bed full of luggage. I got an avg of 17.3 mpg with all highway.

I have a 2.5 lift, 265 muds, dtlh, trd cai, and trd exhaust. I guess thats ok but I figure ohh well.

Does anybody know if you put doug thorley headers on a 2.7 tacoma......will that effect my mpg? Does it give it that much more power, or is it even worth it? I have heard rumors about a supercharger or a turbo kit for the 2.7. Any info on that? Thanks.

Go to the 4 cyl part of the forum. there is 2 threads on installs. I want one too. I'm not sure, but i think it increases it slightly under identical conditions (cruise control a freeway speed)
