    For what it's worth, the correct name of the tool is "retaining ring" pliers. The tool is indespensible for putting on these retaining rings. And Wilde (USA) makes a great pair that has the serrations on the outside of the jaws and a dimple in each jaw that aids in capturing the ends if the retainer.

    Just an ok video. He should have filled the joint cavities with grease, and the remainder in the boots. And at around 35:25 he is installing a band clamp that he is unfamiliar with, and says you "just bend the clamp over." Wrong. There is a tool called a CV joint banding tool made just for this. It pulls the band tight, then you bend it over, secure it, and snap off the excess. A zip tie is a rookie move.
