I just got my wireless phone charger from ThreatLevelMidnight and wanted to tap into the 12v outlet (cigarette lighter outlet) above the cup holders in the center console. What is the simplest way to get at the harness? Any tips or tricks? Looks like I have to pull the a/c controls, will this be enough to get to the harness?

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
Use an add a fuse on the same fuse the power ports. No fuss, quicker. You can ground the charger behind the kick panel too.
Always metal to metal screws/ bolts for grounds. If it's holding plastic, look elsewhere

That's a really nice install but I was wanting to tap the power from the 12v outlet for my wireless charger. I'll probably go with Larzzz's idea of using an add a fuse.

When installing the add a fuse make sure the end without the wire plugs into the live side of the existing fuse slot.
