The Taco has a SERIOUSLY ANNOYING Seatbelt Nanny Beep that just goes on an fuck*&^ on....My other vehicles would beep once and then just a dash indicator....This Nanny NEVER SHUTS UP!

Before you tsk tsk me for not putting on my seatbelt or reply...just put on your seatbelt....I use this truck for deliveries and they are homes on residential streets that are very close together....I'm not putting on my seatbelt if I'm jumping in and out of the truck every 5-10 min. while driving on residential roads.

Yea, I use the seatbelt when I'm not doing deliveries so no moralizing.

Just fasten the seatbelt before you get in and put the top shoulder belt behind the headrest.

I'll try that first then try the suggested mod if it's inconvenient.

What the hell was Toyota thinking w/that incessant beeping. It gives me Road Rage.

It doesn't beep in my '06, but the blinking light gets annoying sometimes. As a disclaimer I only do this when I'm stuck without a company rig on a job site.

The 09's Beep Forever....Are ther any other vehicles that do this?

I've had newer model Ford and Nissan trucks and both beeped once or twice only.

It was driving me fuck^%* nuts today.

    None yet! It's new!
There are instructions somewhere on this site for earlier Tacomas - it works for '09 models also. It works for FJs. It works for all of them.... my seatbelt buzzer doesn't buzz at all. Look around for it an you'll find it.

You can program the truck to turn the seatbelt chime off.

Now that someone else is on the subject. What about the passenger belt? If i have my bag on the seat it chimes forever. Will the mod disable that sound also?

Mike, do the sequence on that link above, it worked for mine. It still beeps a few times when you turn your car on but after that it shuts up.
