How do I pull codes on Taco?

    I have a first gen tacoma with the check engine light on. I would like to do the paper clip trick. I tried using the search function, but that was no help..

    Can some one direct me, need help asap!

    I take my truck to a factory certified mechanic... Oh wait that is me hehe to bad I am Ford certified and not Taco but its close enough.

    Any way best way to read a code is getting a cheap code scanner. The paper clip thing you are talking about is probably just going to give you a flash code and you will need a workshop manual to figure out what the code really is.
