Leave it alone is my best suggestion. You can only do more harm than good. They are not designed to be easily removed.

Do they make covers for them? Might be an option if you can find one

Ok. Maybe if I could find a sleeve or a cover, that could be a smart idea. Something like a pantyhose type material sleeve perhaps.
Hmm. I could maybe stitch up one maybe.

    Peeled mine off.
Made the material kinda saggy afterwards from pulling. I wouldn't suggest doing that.

@numbah57, @Gearheadesw, @ODNAREM, @smitty99 : thanks for telling me.. i won't peel it then, I' might make a small tight cover or sleeve with a color matching pantyhose or something like that.

Seems there's a market for them in the Subaru community but at that price! Jeez!

I tried to remove the same sticker from my 2003 Tacoma back when I took fresh delivery off the lot and everytime I got in the truck that screwed up upholstery mark would stare me in the face... I kicked myself for years about that. Ended up putting a CD holder on the Visor wayyyy back when CDs were a thing ...:D

I'd remove the stupid oil change sticker first. And any other dealer imparted stickers on my windows/tag frames/tailgate.

Then I'd do the sunvisor in plastidip. :anonymous:

Id take it to an upholstery shop and just have them place your choosing of fabric/color over it. I'm assuming they can do it on newer visors and I had mine done a few years back on my '89 5.0 for about $80 I believe it was.

I just removed the 2 out of 3 of the ugly stickers on my 2016 Tacoma's window visors. Here's what worked for me, but each of the 3 stickers are different, so you'll have to use a different technique on each.

First, the warning sticker for "higher rollover risk" on the bottom side of the visor. This sticker is printed on a piece of clear plastic. I first tried to take Acetone on a Q-tip to try and loosen the glue on one corner, but this did nothing. So, I then took a hair dryer and got one corner of the sticker really hot, holding the hair dryer about 1 inch from the sticker for about 1 or 2 minutes. I was then able to peel back the corner with the bottom of my finger, catch an edge with my fingers, and then slowly pull the sticker off as I heated the rest of the sticker with the hair dryer. The sticker came off in one piece, leaving only minimal glue behind. Now to remove the glue. Goof Off didn't work, but Goo-Gone Gel on a microfiber towel worked great. I squirted the Goo-Gone on the towel and then gently rubbed the glue off of the visor. Turn the towel now and then to a fresh spot and re-apply a few minutes later, then dry the area. It looks terrific, with only a very slight depression in the fabric where the sticker was - hardly noticeable.

Next, the sticker in the center of the top side of the visor. I have a Limited, so the top side of the visor has a lighted mirror with a sticker printed on the plastic cover for the mirror. This sticker is inked-onto the mirror cover. To remove it, I protected everything below with a paint tarp and also protected the visor mirror lights with duct tape. Then using chemical resistant gloves, I applied Acetone using a microfiber towel. The inked-on sticker quickly dissolves onto the microfiber towel with minimal rubbing. Repeat 4 or 5 times using a clean spot on the towel until all ink is removed. There was a light image of the lettering left behind, but a hard rub with fresh Acetone on a clean towel got rid of every last bit of the residue. The sticker on my visor mirror cover is now 100% removed.

Third, there is another sticker on the top side of the visor that says "AVERTISSEMENT", and the instructions are in French, (go figure). This sticker is not printed on plastic, but seems to be heat-welded to the fabric of the visor. The heat gun doesn't do anything. The Acetone does nothing. I haven't figured out a way to get this sticker off yet. If anyone has a solution to loosen the bond that is attaching this sticker to the fabric of the visor, please let me know.

I heated with blow dryer and slowly peeled them off no issue at all. Some glue residue that was easy to remove with Goo Gone.

The label is heat fused to the visor material.
